Difference between Progressives and Conservatives:

The difference between Progressives and Conservatives is that the latter realizes people are corrupt and most people will give in to the base temptation because they feel justified; progressives imagine that it would be better for all if the someone could force everyone to expunge any such beliefs of legitimate feelings of enmity – and any one who embraces such feelings needs to be removed from society so utopia can be created. American’s feel deeply violated because of the fear of letting any Muslim leader snatch pride or any further feeling of victory over America and Capitalism. These feelings seem completely natural in that one should expect any people group to feel such in similar circumstances.

For Progressives, the hope is that America and Muslims can transcend the whole issue. That is because they believe the issue amounts to disagreements in the ways radical groups, on both sides, perceive each other. So they think, just changing the perceptions of both sides, the whole issue will dissolve and all can co-exist in harmony.

However, grave problems arise if the either carries deep beliefs about the other that they believe warrants their destruction. (on social This is in fact the professed belief of the radical jihadists. Hence, the conflict cannot dissolve by talking – it will take a fundamental change in the ideology of any side that holds beliefs warranting the destruction of the other – or it will take the annihilation or subjugation of one side of the conflict.
